BPCL Q3 results shown a significant increase in net profit, rising by 36.85% year-on-year to ₹4649 cr

BPCL Q3 Results: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) announced a net profit of ₹4,649 Crore for the quarter ending December 2025, marking a 36.85% increase compared to ₹3,397.27 crore in the same quarter the previous year.

While BPCL’s revenues from operations in Q3 FY25 were reported at ₹1,27,520.50 crore, slightly lower than the ₹1,29,946.95 crore recorded in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s strong performance in profits can be attributed to favorable refining margins, particularly driven by increased gasoline, jet fuel, and fuel oil cracks. Marketing margins also remained robust throughout the December quarter.

Analysts anticipate that BPCL’s blended marketing margins will show improvement in Q3 FY25 compared to the previous quarter, reflecting positive growth trends.

In a significant development, BPCL’s net profit nearly doubled from ₹2,397.23 crore in the preceding quarter ending September 2024.

Dividend Announcement:
During a meeting on January 22, 2025, the Board of Directors not only approved the financial results but also declared an Interim Dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share with a face value of Rs. 10 each, representing a 50% dividend for the financial year 2024-25.

The attractive dividend yield offered by BPCL is a key factor that appeals to investors, enhancing overall returns.

Record Date:
The Board of Directors has set Wednesday, January 29, 2025, as the Record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders to receive the Interim Dividend.

Dividend Payout Date

Please be advised that the aforementioned dividend will be distributed solely through electronic means in accordance with the company’s policy. The dividend will be disbursed to shareholders prior to February 20, 2025.

BPCL shares closed at ₹277.70 on the BSE on Wednesday, marking a 0.89% decrease from the previous day’s closing price. The results were announced after the market had closed.
