Strong Momentum in the IPOs Market

IPO 2025: Even though the Indian market has been a bit shaky lately, companies are still eager to go public. In fact, there are plans for over Rs 1.5 lakh crore worth of IPOs in the upcoming year!

SEBI Approval and IPO Targets

For 2025, 34 companies have already gotten the green light from SEBI to launch their IPOs, aiming to raise a total of Rs 41,462 crore. Another 55 companies are waiting for approval to raise around Rs 98,672 crore. Once a company gets approval, they have a year to launch their IPO.  

Confidence in Achieving IPO Targets

Rajesh Palviya from Axis Securities is confident that these IPOs targets are achievable. Despite some negative market vibes, Indian investors are still putting money into the market. Even though foreign investors are selling in the secondary market, they are still interested in primary market offerings.

Record-Breaking Year for IPOs

In 2024, 75 Indian companies raised over Rs 1.5 lakh crore through IPOs, breaking previous records. This is a huge jump from the Rs 49,435 crore raised in 2023 and Rs 59,301 crore in 2022. Here is the data on the number of IPOs listed in India over the last 10 years: ipo
