All major renewable energy stocks had an amazing week from December 2 to December 6, with their share prices going up by 4% to 15% during this time.
Except for Adani Green Energy Ltd, which is facing some legal trouble, the overall feeling around green energy stocks was positive. This was fueled by news of new orders coming in and plans for expanding capacity.

NTPC Green Energy share price up 15% this week
Shares of NTPC Green Ltd went up by almost 15% this week, reaching around ₹143 on Friday on NSE. The stock price increased in four out of the five trading sessions from Monday to Friday. NTPC Green Energy, which just got listed on November 27, is now up by about 33% from its IPO price of ₹108.

The stock closed at ₹143.6 per share, up by 1.77%, on Friday. Market experts are optimistic about NTPC Green Energy due to its strong fundamentals and leading position in the sector.
Reports suggest that the company is planning to build a ₹30,000 crore transmission network to support its upcoming green hydrogen hub in Andhra Pradesh. This project, with a capacity of 20 GW, will be the first transmission system in the country built for a green hydrogen project.
Adani Green Energy share price down 8.5% this week
Adani Green Energy saw its shares drop by almost 8.5% in the week ending December 6. The company was in the spotlight after reports claimed that the power sector regulator had raised concerns about the transfer of capacity in a solar power project.
Shares of Adani Green Energy closed 1.63% lower at ₹1,209.5 per share on Friday.
Waaree Energies share price rises over 9% this week
Waaree Energies Ltd witnessed a gain of more than 9% this week. The company made headlines by announcing its plan to set up an 11.4 GW integrated solar cell manufacturing facility by the financial year 2026-27. This includes commissioning 5.4 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity this year.
Waaree Energies also received NABL accreditation for its advanced PV module testing lab in Gujarat. The stock closed at ₹2,891 per share, up by 1.82%, on Friday.
Premier Energies share price up 3.9% this week
Premier Energies Ltd saw a 3.9% increase in its share price, reaching around ₹1,270 by Friday. The company’s stock rose after receiving multiple orders worth ₹1,087 crore from two large independent power producers and another customer.
The stock closed at ₹1,267.9 per share, down by 0.43%, on the NSE.
Suzlon Energy share price up 7.2% this week
Suzlon Energy Ltd witnessed a 7.2% increase in its share price, reaching around ₹67.5. The company expanded its partnership with Jindal Renewables by securing a 302.4 MW wind power project in Karnataka.
The renewable energy stock closed at ₹67.32 per share, down by 1.38%, on the NSE.
Torrent Power gains nearly 9% this week
Shares of Torrent Power Ltd jumped by 8.8% this week. The company announced the opening of its qualified institutional placement (QIP) and plans to expand its renewable energy capacity by 3 GW.
Torrent Power shares closed at ₹1,648.05 per share, down by 0.97%, on the NSE.
KPI Green Energy share price up 4.2% this week
KPI Green Energy Ltd saw a 4.2% increase in its share price this week. The company received its largest-ever order worth ₹1,311 crore from Coal India Ltd.
KPI Green Energy shares settled at ₹819 per share, down by 0.14%, on Friday.
