Budget 2025: Will Nifty and Sensex be Open for Trading on Saturday, February 1st?
Nifty and Sensex: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have announced that they will be conducting full trading sessions on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in anticipation of the Union Budget presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
In a circular released on Monday, both exchanges confirmed that live trading will indeed take place on February 1, marking the day as a special trading session in light of the Union Budget announcements.
This decision aligns with previous instances where markets have remained open for trading on Saturdays, such as on February 1, 2020, and February 28, 2015, during past Union Budget presentations.
